When creating my idea for this project I wanted to be able to convey the positive effect animals have on human mental health with heavy irony and the idea that they ‘take the pain and wounds from us’. I took a liking to this topic as I, myself, struggle with mental health and animals have massively helped me and made it easier. The main part of this project is the artist research and context, it relates to the current times, covid and lockdown as well as personally to me. When I started the project I wanted to rekindle my old love for sculpting but learned toward the end that I much prefer digital media now.
